Dental exams are performed to keep one’s oral health in check and prevent any unexpected oral conditions from popping up. When it comes to preventive dentistry, dental exams are the primary means to ensure your teeth, gums, and other parts of the mouth are in perfect health. Let us look at some of the common oral exams.
Oral cleaning is the process of removing the plaque and tartar deposits from the teeth. It includes two procedures, namely scaling and root planing. They are performed on the tooth crowns and roots, respectively. We recommend our patients go for oral cleaning sessions at least once in six months so that the accumulated tartar deposits can be removed regularly. It can especially be of help to patients who are suffering from gum diseases such as gingivitis or periodontitis.
